Ecard

It has been years since I sent an ecard, but I sent one tonight to my aunt.  Just a simple message to let her know the girls and I are thinking about her.

Advice

I have never done this before.....Yesterday I started a gratitude journal (been meaning to for a long time) where I write 5 things I am thankful for.  Well, it is already working on the second day!  Tonight on the way home from James' parents house I was looking out the window and things looked so bright and clear, and I thought "I am so glad I had Lasik done!"  I am starting to notice, and be grateful for, the little things around me that I might not have noticed.  So today I am advising the many followers of this blog (haha) to start one of their own and see the changes in their own thinking!
Now I am taking a week off, since we will not have internet.  See you soon!

Is the Day Over Yet?

Ugh.  After the day I have had, I wanted nothing to do with being nice to anyone.  But if there is anything I have learned from this blog, it is that THESE are the days I really need to!  So I dug out of my annoyance and sent people some encouraging messages.  And you know what?  I do feel better!  :)

Why Can't the Right Thing Be the Easy Thing?

Tonight as I finished walking the dog, I saw our neighbor out in her driveway.  I wanted to run in the house before she saw me so I didn't have to be uncomfortable and think of something to say.  Instead I took Champ in and walked over.  The poor woman was on the phone with a screaming relative of her late husband who wants to see his will.  Sue can't even grieve because of all the stress his family has put on her.  When she finished, I got to let her vent about the situation.  I again told her to let me know if she needs anything.  Hopefully she feels a little bit better and can get some sleep tonight.  I think that was better than bringing food!
